David Aplin Group has partnered with our client to recruit a talented Lead Test Consultant to join their office in Ottawa on an 18-month contract. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Lead Test Consultant will oversee all aspects of the testing phase of the Unclaimed Property Technical Solution (UPTS) project with a focus on the planning, coordination, and execution of sprint testing and acceptance testing for the new solution. Responsibilities:Develop a testing plan and schedule, (including verification of data conversion, system integration testing, and acceptance testing) that align with the overall project scheduleSupport and participate in the creation of test cases for validation of data conversion, system integration testing, and acceptance testingGuide, coordinate, and monitor the testers and test progress to ensure alignment with the plan, schedule, and documentation requirementsProduce and present test-related reports and information, such as requirement traceability matrices, testing progress, results, defect logs, approvals, and test evidence for a variety of audiences (team members, project governance, audit, etc.)Provide regular updates on test activities and report any changes impacting time, cost, scheduling, or project risks to the Project ManagerOversee the defect process, ensuring that defects are documented, tracked, and reported to facilitate timely resolutionQualifications:University degree or College Diploma in computer science, engineering, or business administrationA minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in the field of ITDemonstrated ability to translate business processes into executable test scenariosA minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience leading complex test activities and teamsDemonstrated experience with cloud-based solutions, preferably Software-as-a-solution (SaaS) would be considered a strong assetAgile and innovative individual, who can thrive in an environment of change and ambiguity and adapt test strategies for a SaaS solutionDemonstrated experience in writing clear, concise documents for audiences at all levels of an organizationThe ability to obtain an Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance is requiredJob ID: 9D380414617 If you are interested in this position and meet the qualifications, apply today We thank all applicants; however, only those who are authorized to work in Canada or are selected for an interview will be contacted.
