At Shinola, you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant contribution at the start of what we believe will become an iconic American brand.  Job Summary As the eCommerce Merchandising Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the online retail strategy, optimizing product assortment, and maximizing sales revenue for our eCommerce platform. You will be responsible for curating an engaging and seamless shopping experience, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance product visibility, and collaborating cross-functionally to execute merchandising initiatives that align with business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Merchandising Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive eCommerce merchandising strategy aligned with company objectives, brand guidelines, and market trends. Product Assortment Management: Curate and manage the online product assortment, including selection, categorization, and presentation, to ensure a diverse and compelling product offering that meets customer needs and preferences. Content Management: Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling product content, including product descriptions, imagery, and multimedia assets, to optimize product presentation and enhance the online shopping experience. Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Implement SEO best practices to optimize product visibility and search rankings, leveraging keywords, metadata, and other SEO tactics to drive organic traffic and improve site performance. Promotional Campaign Planning: Plan and execute promotional campaigns, seasonal promotions, and product launches, collaborating with marketing teams to develop targeted marketing strategies and promotional offers that drive sales and customer engagement. Performance Analysis and Optimization: Utilize analytics tools and reporting metrics to monitor eCommerce performance, analyze sales trends, and identify opportunities for optimization, adjusting merchandising strategies and tactics accordingly to maximize sales revenue and profitability. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, inventory management, and IT teams to ensure alignment and coordination of merchandising initiatives, product launches, and promotional campaigns. Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and trend forecasting to identify emerging market opportunities, competitive threats, and consumer preferences, informing merchandising strategies and product assortment decisions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred. Proven experience in eCommerce merchandising, retail management, or related field, with a strong track record of driving sales growth and optimizing product assortment. Deep understanding of eCommerce platforms, merchandising best practices, and digital marketing strategies. Proficiency in eCommerce analytics tools, SEO techniques, and data analysis. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Creative thinker with a strategic mindset, analytical problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
