DLZ Corporation has an exciting Entry Level Electrical Engineer opportunity in South Bend, IN . Electrical Engineers assist in our Architectural department with building design, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, building control, and IT/data systems. Duties & Responsibilities: Perform work under close supervision or provide support to more experienced personnel. Load calculations, life cycle costing and energy modeling. Prepare sketches and diagrams for use by technicians. Review and check detailed drawings and layouts. Coordinate with other disciplines and work in a team environment. Review installation of designed equipment/systems for compliance with construction documents. Work on a wide variety of project types, scales, and complexity. Assist in the preparation of reports, economic and technical feasibility studies, and studies aimed at evaluating alternative systems, equipment, materials, or engineering methods. Assist in the preparation of contract specifications, construction cost estimates, and proposals. Review Contractor's shop drawing submittals. Perform construction monitoring and coordinate field activities. Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field 0 - 3 years relevant work experience Revit experience desired Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, or the ability to obtain within one (1) year Must have a satisfactory driving record, criminal background investigation and drug test Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites and complying with all applicable safety codes and requirements At DLZ we offer an excellent benefit package including health, dental, vision and life insurance, medical and dependent care flexible spending accounts, health savings account, and 401(k) with an Employee Stock Ownership Program.
