In addition to these recent U.S. News & World Report recognitions, GW Hospital also provides high-quality care in the region through its designation as a Level I Trauma Center and designation as a Comprehensive Stroke Center.  The mission of GWU Hospital is to provide the highest quality of healthcare, advanced medical technology, and world class service to its patients in an academic medical center dedicated to education and research We are currently seeking: PACS ANALYST MANAGER is responsible for the supervision of day-to-day operations of the Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) on a multi-site/multi-facility basis for Hospital Radiology and Cardiology Departments to facilitate optimal system performance and to ensure that medical image storage/retrieval is accurate, reliable and timely and conducted in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. PACS Manager will coordinate and manage various aspects of digital imaging, including image transfer from DICOM (Digital Image Communication in Medicine) imaging modalities, storage of clinical data in a secure environment, and distribution/display of both clinical images and corresponding diagnostic information. Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor’s or associate degree in information technology or healthcare-related discipline 5 years of related work experience, preferably in a hospital IT or radiology department, or with an IT products vendor. 3-5 years’ experience in PAC’S, Imaging Informatics Technology or Information Technology. An equivalent combination of additional qualifying work experience (specifically PACS system support/administration) and education may be substituted for up to two years of the education requirement.
