The Opportunity RS&H is currently seeking a Water Resources Engineer for our Transportation Practice in our Charlotte or Raleigh, NC officeThis position will be responsible for storm water management, drainage design, hydrologic, hydraulic modeling and environmental permitting in accordance with NCDOT, other state transportation agencies, and local municipalities standards, criteria and accepted practices.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program or equivalent experienceProfessional registration (PE) within the field of engineeringMinimum five years' relevant experienceStrong verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications:Preparing environmental permit application packagesExperience with riverine modeling using HEC-RASExperience with 2-dimensional bridge hydraulics modelingExperience using ArcGIS for water resources projectsExperience with floodplain studies and FEMA LOMCExperience with design-build and/or other alternative delivery projectsWatershed delineation and determination of hydrological parametersExperience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using ICPRExperience using Geopak Drainage and/or ASADExperience with plans production using Microstation/CADD
