The Public Relations Specialist will act as a liaison between the organization and the public, fostering positive relationships with media outlets, government entities, local communities, and other public-interest groups. Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field Certification: None required (certifications in media relations or strategic communications are a plus) Skills & Abilities:• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders• Knowledge of media relations and public engagement strategies• Ability to represent the organization professionally in public forums• Experience with press releases, media outreach, and public messaging• Familiarity with digital communication platforms and social media Responsibilities: Act as a liaison between the organization and the public, including media, government, and community groups Establish and maintain cordial relationships with news media, consumers, and public-interest organizations Promote the organization’s mission, programs, and initiatives through strategic communication Support public engagement efforts and represent the organization at community events Assist in developing and distributing press releases, newsletters, and public statements Monitor public perception and respond to inquiries or concerns Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms Additional Information:Applicants may request to view V-Tech’s Affirmative Action Plan Data.Please contact info@v-techsolutions.net to schedule an appointment.
