The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Jenison seeking HR Generalists who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Recruit and onboard production staff, skilled trades, and administrative roles, managing the full hiring lifecycle. Manage employee relations, including grievance resolution, disciplinary actions, and fostering a positive plant culture. Ensure HR compliance with federal and state labor laws, company policies, and manufacturing-specific regulations (e.g., OSHA). Administer performance management processes, including reviews, development plans, and corrective actions for plant personnel. Coordinate and track mandatory safety training and other compliance-related training programs for the workforce. Process payroll inputs, manage benefits administration, and oversee leave of absence requests for manufacturing employees. Support workplace safety initiatives and manage workers' compensation claims in collaboration with operations. Recommended Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated expertise in full-cycle recruitment and retention for a diverse industrial workforce. Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including OSHA compliance. Proficiency in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management. Experience with HRIS platforms and HR data management.
