You’ll design and execute primary research that brings the voice of the customer to life, helping shape the direction of our products and features. This role is perfect for someone who’s naturally curious, thrives on juggling multiple priorities, and brings a positive, can-do attitude to every challenge.What You'll DoStrategic Influence & Product ImpactDrive meaningful impact around product development and future content strategy—with a passion for connecting consumers to automotive innovation.Act as a strategic consultant to internal teams (Engineering, Human Factors, Innovation, Design), delivering consumer and market insights that shape decisions.Insightful Storytelling & Decision SupportTranslate data into compelling narratives that inform strategic initiatives and business decisions across GM leadership levels—leveraging a storytelling approach that inspires action.Apply a curious mindset to uncover deeper meaning through special analyses using current data, secondary sources, and industry trends.Research Design & ExecutionCollaborate with the research manager to frame stakeholder learning objectives and select methodologies that best serve the research goals—balancing rigor with agility.Independently design quantitative questionnaires and qualitative discussion guides with precision and creativity.Manage multiple research projects simultaneously, ensuring smooth execution and timely insights using DIY tools and supplier-supported fieldwork.Data Analysis & Insight GenerationAnalyze primary research results to extract key insights and translate them into actionable recommendations.Support large-scale tracking studies and proprietary consumer panels, maintaining a high level of organization and stakeholder engagement.Operational Excellence & Vendor ManagementBuild purchasing documents and oversee supplier invoicing with attention to detail and accountability.Maintain strong supplier relationships and manage timelines, sample refreshes, and project queues with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.What Sets You ApartYou bring a consultant mindset—proactive, strategic, and always thinking a few steps ahead.You have a thirst for curiosity, constantly seeking to understand the “why” behind consumer behavior and market shifts.You thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities with grace and focus.You bring a collaborative spirit and a positive energy that lifts teams and projects alike.You’re deeply passionate about marketing and the automotive industry, and it shows in everything you do.Join us and become part of a team that thrives on curiosity, collaboration, and the power of data-driven storytelling. Apply now and help shape the future of our product portfolio with insight, energy, and purpose. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree2+ years of Market Research or related work experienceWillingness to ask questions, take initiative and be resourcefulConfidence to help guide internal stakeholders through research planning, execution, and insight phasesUnderstand the principles of AI and use cases in Market ResearchDemonstrated ability to work well in a collaborative team environmentStrong critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to work with cross-tabs and raw data setsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with cross-functional teams (for example, Brand Teams, Global Research Teams, Product Teams, Marketing, Planning, Engineering, Design and suppliers)Outstanding organizational/project management skills with attention to detailsAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing deliverables and deadlinesStrong written & oral communication skills; ability to present confidently to senior leadershipProficient in the use of Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelWhat Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)​Advanced degree or marketing research-related certificationsExperience using m-Tab for analyzing syndicated dataExperience using Qualtrics platform (programming, java script, Stats IQ, XM Directory, Text IQ) as well as other DIY survey/sampling toolsFamiliarity with statistical concepts and applicationsFamiliarity with both quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies including Conjoint and Max DiffFamiliarity with SQL, Python for combining and analyzing large datasets GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
