This position focuses on operating and optimizing horizontal lathes and/or mills, with responsibility for reading technical blueprints, setting up machines, adjusting cutting paths, and ensuring quality output. The ideal candidate will have hands-on machining experience in a manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Key Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings and set up machines in accordance with blueprintsOperate CNC machines including lathes and mills to produce precision partsPerform quality checks to ensure products meet engineering specificationsAdjust machine cutting paths, tooling, and settings to improve efficiency while maintaining qualityResearch and maintain knowledge of existing and emerging CNC technologiesSupport prototype machining operations from quality planning through first piece approvalAssist with capital improvement projects, equipment justification, and technology implementationTrack, analyze, and communicate production data to support process improvementsBenchmark and implement industry best practices for machining operationsTroubleshoot CNC code, tooling issues, and machine operations Qualifications High school diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist (lathe and/or mill) such as Haas, Mazak, DMG Mori, Okuma, Doosan, Hurco, Fanuc, or similar platformsStrong proficiency in CNC machining, including setups, troubleshooting, tooling, and machine operationSkilled in interpreting technical blueprints and drawingsFamiliarity with CAD/CAM softwareExperience with AutoCAD, GibbsCAM, Mastercam, Esprit, or similar software is a plus but not required Familiarity with Lean principles, continuous improvement, and waste reduction methods Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate: $26 - $45/hour depending on experienceShift Differential for 2nd shiftPaid holidaysFull Health and Retirement 401(k) benefits packageProfessional development opportunities and exposure to advanced machining technologies To discuss the role or apply, contact Jacob Parish at jacob.parish@gogpac.com or 850-806-2547.All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
