This is a seasonal role with the opportunity to go full-time depending on performance and business needs. This is an onsite role at our Fairfield, Maine location with opportunity for hybrid. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about agriculture, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys solving problems with a smile. Position Summary:As a Contact Center Specialist 1, you'll be the first point of contact for customers, providing professional, high-quality support across multiple channels. You'll help with everything from order entry and product questions to account updates and catalog requests. Your work will directly contribute to the success of our customers and the Johnny's Selected Seeds mission. Compensation & Schedule:Starting wage: $18.54/hourIncentives: Shift differentials and performance-based bonuses availableSchedule: Full-time, onsite in Fairfield, MESchedule: Flexibility to work varied hours/days as neededKey Responsibilities:Handle 50+ inbound calls daily with a focus on one-call resolutionProvide accurate, timely responses via phone, email, chat, and other channelsEnter and manage orders across all platforms (phone, email, fax, mail, PO)Outbound phone sales campaignSupport customers with order status, product information, and account updatesDocument product feedback and customer interactions in CRMManage catalog/sample requests, hold orders, and backorder communicationsCollaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and improve serviceParticipate in training, buddy support, and trade show order processingMaintain accurate records and ensure data integrity in all systemsEducation & Experience:High school diploma or GED requiredPrior experience or interest in agriculture, farming, or gardening preferredSkills & Qualifications:Intermediate computer skills and ability to multitask across programsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong verbal and written communicationDetail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skillsAdaptable, self-directed, and able to manage multiple prioritiesFriendly, professional demeanor with a customer-first mindsetPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit at a computer for 75% of the workdayLift up to 25 lbs.
