We have opportunities around the world for you to contribute to advancements in autonomy, electrification, smart mobility technologies, and moreIn this position... The Core Seats Foam Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of foam design, development, specification release, acceptance requirements of polyurethane and other foam components used in automotive seating systems. This role ensures that foam performance meets comfort, durability, safety, cost, and manufacturability requirements. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams including design, testing, materials, manufacturing, and suppliers to deliver innovative, high-quality seating solutions that align with internal and international standards. You'll have...Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.2+ years of experience in automotive foam design and development.Even better, you may have...Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.Strong understanding of polyurethane chemistry, molding processes, and foam behavior.Familiarity with CAD tools (CATIA V5).Experience with Boundary, P-Diagrams, DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T and problem-solving tools (8D, 5-Why).Knowledge of OEM specifications (GM, Ford, Stellantis, Toyota, is an asset.You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to applyAs an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
