Job Responsibilities Review production costs and related usage variances Review and analyze financial reports Review operating expenses (cost centers) with the department managers Review billing due list to ensure all deliveries are properly invoiced and help resolve blocked billing document issues Inventory control and analysis for assigned locations: Perform inventory tests counts on a frequent basis Verify that all products are adjusted on a weekly basis Review inventory adjustments frequently including evaluating cost card accuracy Review and analyze shrinkage, spoils, and manufacturing defects to help control inventory expenses Review and help resolve inventory restrictions, blocked inventory and make sure masa inventory is zero at the end of each production period Review and analyze inventory expenses with no movements or slow-moving to identify obsolete inventory Ensure that plants conduct a count of spare parts inventory on a quarterly basis Review product classifications with plant personnel to ensure accuracy Create credit memos Scan invoices, PO, POD, and related documents into Liberty for FS and WHSE customers. Ensure compliance with company policy Other duties as assigned Our Mission Foods facility in Jefferson GA is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to proudly work at this facility. The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for partnering with the rest of the organization to consistently supply products that exceed customer and consumer expectations. The QA Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily activities of the QA Leads and technicians. Supervises Plant Quality System requirements. Reviews activities to ensure conformance to specifications. Monitors and guarantees that products are being manufactured in conformance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Practices. Provides training and support, as well as enforcement to the Food Safety Program. Investigates and communicates to the QA Manager all departmental and Plant issues. Supervises the daily activities of the technicians and assures the proper training in Safety, Food Safety and Quality Systems. Reviews and updates work aids (instructions, charts, manuals, bulletins, code date calendars, etc.) essential for verification of product quality. Assists in special projects and generates summary of projects’ performance. Communicate effectively with the department, plant, and Corporate Personnel. Takes disciplinary actions and investigates incidents when required. Perform QA Manager Duties and responsibilities in his/her absence. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High School diploma, GED or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemical, Engineering, Microbiology strongly preferred. 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment required. Food/Beverage manufacturing preferred. With a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity or 4 years as a Lead in a manufacturing environment required. Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Reliable, Responsible, with initiative to take the next level; Committed Quality Systems experience, Knowledge in HACCP and Food Safety Programs Computer Literacy, Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Bilingual (Spanish/English) desirable Knowledge of statistics preferred.
