Unleash your potential with IPS and be part of something big. Responsibilities & Expectations: Integrated Power Services (IPS) is hiring an Electrical Engineer with extensive expertise in wind generators to support the Renewables Region, based out of the IPS Service Center in Litchfield, MN. This position will provide technical leadership and functional support focused on achieving IPS Annual Operating Plan growth and operating objectives. This position will also develop and deploy technologies that advance the strategic vision and mission of IPS and establish uniform specification and work standards for electric motor in-shop repair and field service functions.Test and monitor electric motor operational performanceTroubleshoot motor performance issues and failures in-shop and on-sitePerform RCFA on failed motorsDriver the development of electrical work on repair instructions and reverse engineer motor designsLead and participate in redesign of project for various motor typesProvide electrical technical support to customers, repair shops, and field service activitiesReview and approve coil designs and insulation systemsEnsure that repairs meet customer expectations and applicable industry standardsLead and assist in potential warranty investigations for repair and field serviceEnsure compliance with regulatory standards as specified for NEMA-MG1, IEEEE, ASME, ASTM, MSHA, 10CFR-50 Appendix B, UL and CSAInterpret and ensure compliance with operating policies and proceduresSupervise both in-process and final acceptance tests to confirm compliance with IPS/customer specificationAssist with failure and repair reports on motorsAssist with the implementation of quality improvement actionsActively participate in the IPS UCE tier meeting processUtilize Continuous Improvement Solution (CIPs) tools and processes Qualifications and Competencies: 15 years experience with AC Motors and/or Generators5+ years in the Wind or Solar IndustryBachelors in Electrical Engineering preferredKnowledge of AC & DC insulation systems, coil design: Volts/Turns, Volts/Mil CalculationsKnowledge of High Voltage MotorsKnowledge of Stator and Rotor Core-Loss Testing, AC and DC hi-pot Testing, and Surge comparison testingWorking knowledge IEEE Standards, IEEE-101, IEEE-43, IEEE-95, IEEE-286, IEEE-22, IEEE-1043, IEEE-1553, IEEE-1434, IEEE-1068 preferred but not requiredHands-on knowledge of troubleshooting AC & DC motor issuesWorking Knowledge of flux calculations for AC induction motorsProficient with Computer Aided Design programsMust be able and willing to travel up to 50%You’ll thrive at IPS if you…• Lead with integrity and prioritize safety. You demonstrate high standards and commit to a safe, ethical workplace.• Value teamwork and accountability. You work well with others, take responsibility, serve others, and deliver on your commitments.• Focus on the customer. You are dedicated to providing an unmatched customer experience and exceeding expectations.• Have an entrepreneurial spirit. You’re proactive, innovative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.• Communicate effectively and with purpose. You keep everyone informed with clear, concise communication.• Stay curious and love to learn. You continuously seek new knowledge and grow personally and professionally.Who We Are:  At Integrated Power Services (IPS), we're committed to empowering you to make a meaningful impact.
