About the RoleThe Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining electrical control systems to enhance plant efficiency and support production goals. This role involves identifying process bottlenecks, developing innovative solutions, integrating new systems, and ensuring long-term performance and reliability across all manufacturing operations.This role involves identifying process bottlenecks, developing innovative solutions, integrating new systems, and ensuring long-term performance and reliability across all manufacturing operations.ResponsibilitiesElectrical Design & Programming Design and specify electrical controls for plant operations, including schematics, programming, and full implementation.Develop, modify, and maintain PLC programs for all plant equipment.Operations & Technical Support Provide technical support to manufacturing engineers and maintenance technicians for projects and preventive maintenance.Serve as an internal consultant for all departments on electrical or electrically related issues.Collaborate with outside equipment suppliers and vendors to communicate company standards and technical requirements.Technology & Innovation Research new trends, technologies, and advancements in electrical/electronic engineering.Evaluate potential applications and share findings with internal stakeholders. QualificationsEducation Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.Functional Experience 3–5 years of experience in control system design and programming.Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drafting documents.Experience with process analysis and machine shop environments.Basic understanding of accounting principles. Required SkillsProficiency with PLC programming, manufacturing systems, and electrical controls.CAD (Computer-Aided Design) proficiency.Strong competency with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets and PowerPoint / Google Slides. Preferred SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to act independently and manage confidential matters.High reliability and strong attendance record.Work performed in a factory environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, electrical components, and potential hazards. Must follow all safety procedures to prevent injuries. Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs occasionally, and up to 25 lbs daily. Participation in committees as needed.
