Direct Support Professionals (DSP) cares for individuals experiencing developmental or intellectual disabilities. Their main duties include helping Individuals complete basic housekeeping tasks, transporting individuals to appointments or other social outings and keeping individuals safe from potential health hazards in their surrounding environment, following behavior plans, teaching self-care skills, cooking meals and doing laundry. Additional duties may include: Assisting clients with daily personal tasks, including bathing and dressing Completing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, washing dishes and tidying Helping plan client appointments and organizing a schedule Organizing transportation arrangements to appointments Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific client dietary needs Encouraging client engagement in social networks and communities Royal Community Support is looking for a self-motivated, energetic Direct Support Professional to support a Female individual who lives in Hampton , Hunterdon County NJ. DSP must be comfortable with community base support. Margaret would like a DSP to take her to her fitness class for 1 hour and go out to eat, shop or partake in other community activities the rest of the time. She is wheelchair bound so it would be helpful for the DSP to have a car that is lower to the ground for her to get in and out safety as well as be able to assit her physically. SCHEDULE: 1 day out of the week flexible with exeption to Mondays 10:00 am - 3:00 pm 3 hours a week Benefits: A 401K is a benefit that is available to employees who have successfully completed their 90-day introductory period.
