The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Paw Paw that are seeking skilled Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities Develop, optimize, and document manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. Design, procure, and implement manufacturing tools, fixtures, and equipment. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues and non-conformances. Support the successful introduction of new products into manufacturing (NPI). Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Create and maintain detailed work instructions, process specifications, and manufacturing documentation. Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, improve throughput, and reduce scrap. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on process improvement and optimization Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for fixture design and process layout Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies Experience with automation, robotics, and manufacturing equipment integration Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) or industrial robot programming Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) integration Advanced data analysis and visualization skills (e.g., Python, R, Power BI, Tableau) Familiarity with additive manufacturing processes and design for additive manufacturing Job Titles That Should Apply Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Production Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Lean Manufacturing Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Manufacturing Process Engineer, Manufacturing Systems Engineer, Automation Engineer, Operations Engineer Why Pivot Group The Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
