As we continue to expand, we are seeking motivated individuals who want to grow with us and make an impact in the renewable energy manufacturing space.Position Overview: As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our metal stamping machinery and related equipment. Your primary objective will be to minimize equipment downtime, ensure optimal production efficiency, and contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing operations. You will work closely with the production team to address equipment issues promptly and execute preventive maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance and Repair:

Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on metal stamping machinery, including presses, die-cutting machines, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.

Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and take appropriate corrective actions to minimize downtime and production delays.

Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or equipment upgrades.

Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts.

Preventive Maintenance:

Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all metal stamping machinery and auxiliary equipment.

Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, filter replacement, calibration, and alignment, to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.

Perform inspections to identify potential issues and proactively address them before they lead to unplanned downtime or safety hazards.

Monitor equipment performance, analyze data, and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and reduce maintenance costs.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in equipment maintenance and repair activities.

Conduct risk assessments, identify safety hazards, and implement necessary controls to mitigate risks.

Participate in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.

Documentation and Communication:

Document maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status, in maintenance logs or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Communicate equipment issues, maintenance schedules, and potential impacts on production to the production team and maintenance supervisor.

Collaborate with colleagues and provide technical guidance or support when required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a metal stamping plant or similar heavy industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical circuits, and PLCs.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
