MISSION: The Continuous Improvement Analyst is responsible for working with our manufacturing sites to implement data collection and real-time alerting software. In this role, the primary focus will be on training and supporting site personnel, with secondary functions related to data analysis and operationalization as applies to collecting and leveraging data across the America’s Converting division to reduce unscheduled equipment downtime and improve overall process reliability. This role is also responsible for supporting operational excellence objectives by providing insights to positively affect focus plants and processes within the division.   JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include but are not limited to the following.   Apply advanced data science techniques to analyze complex manufacturing data, identifying trends, anomalies, and predictive insights that inform strategic decision-making. Utilize QlikSense, a powerful BI tool, to create interactive and visually compelling dashboards and reports that translate data into actionable information for stakeholders. Develop, maintain, and refine comprehensive metrics and KPIs, with a strong emphasis on using data visualization to effectively communicate performance insights. Oversee the creation, optimization, and management of data collection and analysis systems, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency, and seamless integration with QlikSense. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions Provide regular reports and updates to management on performance improvement initiatives   BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE: Demonstrable experience in applying data science techniques, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling to solve complex manufacturing challenges. A strong background in data visualization, with a preference for experience using QlikSense or similar BI tools to create interactive and informative data dashboards. A minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations, illustrating a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and the potential for data-driven optimization. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies and decisions. Proven track record of effectively collaborating within cross-functional teams, driving data-driven initiatives and improvements. Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex data findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively.   EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE: Hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or a related field, providing a solid educational foundation for data analysis and interpretation. Preferred experience or proficiency in QlikSense or other BI tools, demonstrating the ability to create interactive and insightful data visualizations. Experience in the folding carton industry is extremely preferred. Specific knowledge of KBA, Bobst and other related OEM’s also highly desirable.  SPECIFIC SKILLS: Possess deep knowledge of data science methodologies, statistics, and predictive modeling techniques. Proven capability in creating visually compelling and interactive dashboards using QlikSense or similar BI tools. Proficiency in using data collection software, particularly Ignition data collection software and Squeaks real-time alert software Strong organizational skills for efficient project management and documentation, particularly in the context of data analysis and visualization projects.
