We have recently built an additional hospital in Venice, Florida, have added a new Cancer Institute on our Sarasota campus, and are planning a new hospital location in North Port, Florida. If you are looking for a place to call home, where people matter, we may be the right fit for you. The Intern will have the opportunity to participate and learn about the functions within the Revenue Cycle as it relates to Sarasota Memorial Healthcare System. The Intern will have the opportunity to gain a better understanding of Patient Access, Patient Financial Services and Health Information Management within the Revenue Cycle. The initial experience will be a survey of multiple areas of the Revenue Cycle, while the second half of the semester will be an intern driven focus on specific areas within Revenue Cycle. Required Qualifications- Currently enrolled in State College of Florida Health Care and enrolled in either AS Health Services Management or BAS Health Services Administration program. Preferred Qualifications- Prefer a willingness to learn.- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of PC/software applications and word processing skills.- Prefer effective customer service skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of staff and the public, both in person and by telephone.
