NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service.DOF’s External Affairs Office is responsible for all internal and external agency communications. This includes the press office, social media, the agency editor/speechwriter, correspondence, public outreach, and constituent services.The External Affairs’ Outreach Unit is seeking an Outreach College Aide to provide administrative support, such as but not limited to, case tracking, responding to inquiries from elected officials and community partners.The selected candidate’s duties include the following: -Coordinate effective and timely response to constituent casework and resolution (phone, email, and mail) from elected officials and community boards. -Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions on DOF’s Homeowner Exemptions, Abatement, and Rent Freeze Programs. -Maintain an up-to-date contact list of all New York City, State and Federal elected officials.
