As a contract employee of Sterling, you are eligible to receive a Full Employee Benefits Package that includes paid time off, paid holidays, 3 medical plans to choose from, dental & vision plans, 401(k), and an Employee Stock Ownership (ESOP) plan. The Assembly Technician will work under the direction of project staff to assist with detector production, testing, and documentation in a hands-on technical environment. Job Duties:Assist with mechanical assembly of detector components, including gluing and assembly of large structuresSupport detector testing, measurements, and quality checks using basic QC and measurement equipmentWork with specialized materials such as carbon-fiber layupsDocument activities, test results, and assembly progress and report findings to the project leadQualifications:Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in system or component assemblyExperience with mechanical assembly of large componentsFamiliarity with carbon-fiber layup processesExperience using basic measuring tools and quality control equipmentAbility to work full-time (40 hours/week) for a 6-month contract durationQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
