Now Hiring: General Assembly Technician (Onsite – Fermilab) COMPA Industries is seeking a General Assembly Technician to support cutting-edge scientific research at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) in Batavia, IL. This is a hands-on role contributing directly to nationally significant physics and detector development projects. Pay: $30/hr – $35/hr Location: Onsite – Batavia, IL Schedule: Full-Time (40 hrs/week) Contract: 6 months with possibility of hire or extension 🇺🇸 Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required What You'll Do Perform mechanical assembly of systems and large components Support gluing, bonding, and carbon-fiber/composite layup activities Assist with detector production, integration, and testing Use basic measuring tools and QC equipment Document assembly and test results Work closely with Fermilab engineers and technical staff What We're Looking For 3+ years of hands-on system or component assembly experience Experience with mechanical assembly and bonding processes Familiarity with basic measurement and quality control tools Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures Nice to Have Carbon-fiber or composite layup experience Background in scientific, laboratory, or DOE environments Why COMPA Industries?
