Job Description Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate accounting, with a focus on property management. This role is critical to our finance department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the full cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide reports on property performance. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accounts. Coordinate and prepare for audits, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. Assist in budget preparation and forecasting for properties. Monitor and analyze property expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings. Collaborate with property managers and other departments to provide financial guidance and support. Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies and procedures. Utilize property management accounting software to streamline financial processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of property accounting experience, preferably in real estate. Proficiency in accounting software, such as Yardi, MRI, or similar property management systems. Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate industry standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Benefits: Competitive salary of $95,000 per year.
