Dedicated Operations Manager Browns Summit, NC, USA Full Time Job Overview: We are looking for a Dedicated Operations Manager to join our Dedicated Operations team. The Dedicated Operations Manager will direct, coordinate and supervise the activities of dedicated drivers to obtain optimum use of equipment and loads. They will maintain equipment control in the terminal region and constant communication with drivers through various communication devices. Qualifications: High School Diploma; prefer at least 2 years of college 2+ Years' experience as a driver manager, load planner, or customer service representative in a truckload carrier environment required 2+Years of experience in a dedication operation preferred Strong Customer Service Skills Good data entry skills accuracy important Excel; greater than basic knowledge Prefer some experience with AS/400 computer Ability to pass pre-employment drug test. No convictions of serious crimes or felonies. Professional, clean, neat appearance. Occasional travel in job as required Responsibilities: Provides daily operational updates for dedicated customer management. Maintains contact with dedicated account(s) and provides customer service to these locations. Coordinates with both internal and external customers to determine and fill needs for drivers and equipment. Plans and dispatches drivers in dedicated fleet. Provides supervision, training and leadership to drivers to insure good customer service. Train and counsel drivers on late pickups/deliveries, safety, hours of service requirements, workers compensation issues and overall company policies. Promotes compliance with DOT requirements and Epes's safety program. Coordinates between drivers and shop to ensure all maintenance issues are satisfied. Manages vacation and time-off requests based on driver, company and customer needs. Works with billing, payroll and special reporting requirements as related to the dedicated business. Attends quarterly safety meetings. Both Greensboro and any on site specific to customer. Assists the Director of Operations and/or Operations Manager and provides administrative support as required by all operations of the Dedicated Division. Coordinates with Recruiting Department to assist and ensure that candidates are informed and prepared to join the Dedicated Operations Department. Involved with Orientation of drivers as necessary. Coordinates hiring of additional drivers with appropriate Recruiting Department personnel. Conducts training as needed for specific dedicated accounts. Provides weekly recaps and management reports to appropriate managers. Travels as necessary. Demonstrates support to the Epes Transport System, LLC Quality Management System and its objectives, as applicable. Other duties as may be assigned Maintains working Knowledge of all dedicated business-thru cross training as needed to assist during peak business or staffing challenges.
