Current job sites are: Mayfield NY, Lowville NY, Middletown NY and Sidney NY.The Construction Manager provides overall direction and management for our utility construction operations. The Construction Manager is the leader / manager of construction team that may include the Craftsman, Field Engineers, and General Foreman. This position involves a high level of responsibility requiring strong management and supervision skills. ResponsibilitiesEnsure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Document all violations, notify project management, recommend/implement corrective actions as required.Manages and ensures customer's expectations for quality, schedule, and budget are satisfiedDirect management of the operations portion of the project and interface with the customer and internal stakeholdersProvide the customer updates on operations portions of the programStrives to improve the program's marginReports program performance data as required to management and customersSupervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, AE representatives, other contractors, etc.In coordination with project management; plan and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, .Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract.Provide technical assistance, ., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project.Perform additional assignments per Supervisor's direction.
