Safety, anticipating guest needs, honoring our surroundings and bringing your best every day are the core values we live by in order to provide dynamic guest service at the Denali Cabins. As Cook I, you will prepare menu items for dining room service while working efficiently with standardized recipes and presentations.Take directions from ChefProvide excellent service to both guests and team membersEnsure all guests’ special needs are met, including dietary restrictionsEstimate food consumption and purchases or requisitions food and kitchen suppliesEnsure efficiency and timely food production and safetyParticipate in the provisioning of the island to include loading and unloading of supply vessels, conducting inventories and properly and safely storing items What skills and experience do you need for this job? Valid Alaska Food Handler’s Certification, ServSafe Managers certificate preferredKnowledge of proper food handling and preparations standardsCurrent CPR, First AidStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCulinary School graduate or previous experience working as a cook in food service operations, or equivalent combination of experience and training What will your work environment be like?
