Department Production (Non-Exempt) Employment Type Full Time Location Sterling, CO Address 0 Right Of Way Road, Sterling, Colorado, Workplace type Onsite Compensation $. - $. / hour WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Forklift operators move our product - whether it's loading or unloading product for transportation, wrapping finished product, or moving product around the facility. Forklift operators must be safety-minded and have good attention to detail. Safely and efficiently operate a forklift; perform required daily inspections. Pick full and partial pallets, wrap pallets when necessary, stage product for loading, and check pallets for accuracy to order. Maintain clean and organized aisles or rack storage, and consolidate partial pallets when needed. Inventory product as needed; label, sort, wrap, and tie product. Hand-load product onto containers. Communicate with management and maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs. Comply with company safety policies and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms. Perform other duties as assigned by Mill Supervisor or Plant Manager.  WHAT WE NEED EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING: High School Diploma or GED Basic computer skills, including touch screens KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY: Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to work well with all levels of employees, whether individually or in a team environment. Ability to perform basic math skills. Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisors, and management personnel. Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.
