The Mercalis Sales Team has an opening for a part-time intern to work 20-30 hours per week with the potential to move to full-time. This lead generation position will provide you the opportunity to work with a highly experienced patient services sales and marketing team and support their efforts through traditional lead generation activities. For this role, the key activities include: supporting inbound website and marketing activity/event generated inquiries, planning and executing lead nurturing campaigns, setting goals for and analyzing lead quality results, and acting as owner for the prospect relationship program. The individual will work closely with the Sales and Marketing Team in the development, support and execution of prospect management activities to identify new sales opportunities for Mercalis Sales Team. Responsibilities Execute on the strategy and tactics outlined by sales leadership for key performance indicators; deliver on these metrics to ensure consistency in pipeline development and reporting. Manage and execute on day-to-day activities to ensure call volumes are met or exceeded; call quality measures are achieved; Work with the sales team and sales leadership to establish value propositions for each offering as well as best practices for overcoming objections. Execute on pre-defined lead goals for lead generation/marketing initiatives; work with sales leadership to determine if projected outcomes are sufficient to support pipeline development and sales goals. Find solutions to support programs that fall short of goals. Remain knowledgeable of company's products/services to manage qualification efforts Accurately maintain records and reportable contact metrics and dashboards as required Develop and execute proven processes to convert leads into sales opportunities Work effectively with other team members and throughout the entire Mercalis organization Host monthly progress reviews with the Sales leadership and team to assess progress Monitor changes in lead flow monthly to proactively identify changes in trends by vehicle, channel, vertical and product line Partner with Sales and Marketing to constantly improve effectiveness of marketing campaigns to maximize ROI Maintain working knowledge of industry trends through self-education, following thought leader blogs, industry publications, competition to better understand Mercalis and how we fit into the mix as a vendor. Provide feedback to Sales and Marketing as to improvements and where new products may be needed Proactively collect leads from Marketing activities, inbound calls, and other sources Respond to phone, fax and e-mail inquiries in a timely, efficient and professional manner Ensure proper campaign tracking and analytics specific to Salesforce.com Qualifications Experience in lead qualifications/lead generation/lead nurturing is a plus Must have the ability to conduct effective discovery calls and build strong relationships through effective communications with potential prospects Extremely detail-oriented with strong time management and prioritization skills Ability to manage leads, contracts and accounts in Salesforce.com quickly, accurately and in-line with company/team guidelines Ability to effectively coordinate transition of leads through sales funnel Marketing communications experience and campaign management desired Flexible, reliable, results-oriented and self-motivated Ability to take and provide constructive feedback, leverage internal resources effectively, provide training and contribute to team strategy High-energy and positive attitude are a must for this position Business major with experience in marketing/sales internship or other is a plus Experience with platforms like SalesForce.com, Pardot, Excel Demonstrated good communication skills Good organization skills to maintain a process and cadence for outreach campaigns.
