QA/QC Intern CONCRETE STRATEGIES - Nationwide, USA, United States Tagged: Internship As a QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) Intern at Concrete Strategies, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining the highest standards of construction quality and ensuring that our projects meet or exceed industry benchmarks. Your internship will offer hands-on experience in quality control processes, inspection procedures, and contributing to the delivery of exceptional construction outcomes.We are hiring interns for travel positions and project based as well as regionally based. We have regional offices in St. Louis, Kansas City, Des Moines, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Seattle. Our compensation range for interns is: $20-$22/hour.During your internship, you'll have the opportunity to learn about and contribute to:Quality Inspections: Participate in thorough quality inspections of construction materials, workmanship, and installations, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards.Documentation: Assist in maintaining accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and other relevant documentation to support the quality assurance process.Quality Assurance Plans: Learn to develop and implement quality assurance plans for construction projects, outlining processes and criteria to achieve desired quality levels.Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address quality-related concerns and facilitate effective communication.Problem Solving: Engage in identifying quality issues, troubleshooting discrepancies, and contributing to solutions that align with project requirements.Testing and Analysis: Gain insights into performing tests and analyses on construction materials, such as concrete strength tests and structural assessments, to ensure they meet specified standards.Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by suggesting enhancements to quality control procedures, practices, and workflows.Quality Training: Participate in training sessions focused on quality control methods, techniques, and tools used within the construction industry.Quality Compliance: Assist in ensuring that all construction activities adhere to regulatory requirements, codes, and standards.Professional Development: Engage in learning opportunities to enhance your knowledge of quality assurance principles and their practical application in construction.Concrete Strategies places a strong emphasis on delivering projects of the highest quality. This internship experience will provide you with valuable skills and insights that are valuable in pursuing a career in quality assurance and quality control within the construction field.QualificationsCurrently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Assurance, or a related field.Interest in understanding and maintaining quality standards in construction projects.Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and quality control processes.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data management and reporting.Keen eye for detail to identify discrepancies and deviations from quality standards.Ability to analyze project documentation, test results, and inspection reports.Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.Willingness to address quality-related issues and contribute to solutions.Collaborative attitude, capable of working closely with quality control teams and project personnel.Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities.Openness to adapting to changing project conditions and quality requirements.Eagerness to learn about quality control processes, industry standards, and best practices.About Concrete StrategiesConcrete Strategies is the nation’s leading full-service, design-build, turnkey concrete contractor.
