Summary We are experiencing tremendous growth and excited to add a strategic, hands-on, and ownership-oriented Sr. Manager, HR Operations to our global People Ops team. You will touch all phases of the employee lifecycle through our integrated systems, reportings, initiatives, and drive key measurements and analytics as we continue to build and refine centralized operations and the people experience. What you'll be doing Own, build, and continuously improve the global shared services of People Operations; oversee the People Operations tech stack and manage technical and administrative processes, systems, and reportings including assessing new tools and offerings that will drive efficiency and scale Serve as the central core of People Operations for our global team through the entire people life cycle; triage tickets and inquiries to generate offer letters, personnel changes, routine audits, external reports for leaders, and ensure all people transactions are accurately and efficiently entered and tracked across all our systems that impact payroll, benefits, and 3rd party systems including our PEO partners Build, maintain, and track reporting on recurring people analytics and variances, including new hires, exits, changes, turnovers, diversity, data, and other data to help People Ops business partners and leaders with decision-making Manage and respond to our People Ops inbox and efficiently triage and escalate to the team as needed Configure, support and optimize the design, development and performance of core people information processes, security maintenance, data loads, integrations, and upgrades Recommend, advise, and train on process improvements, innovative solutions, and policy changes. Provide advice and options on the best way to automate processes in the system Ensure system compliance with data security and privacy requirements; stay abreast of federal, state, global, and other regulations related to employment compliance and policies for the US, Canada, and other countries where Firework has entities or subsidiaries Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including benefits administrators, PEOs, outsourced legal, system vendors; continuously assess costs, contracts, and service levels of partners and systems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness May mentor and manage future HR Operations colleagues as the business grows We'll be excited if you have 8-10+ years of hands-on HR Operations experience for a global multi-currency organization with subsidiaries, contractors, PEOs, and gig workers; preference for those who have been part of shifting People Operations into a Shared Services model Solid knowledge and understanding of HR processes and compliance. Must have well-rounded HR knowledge (understand classification, I-9, benefits, basic people data) of US and Canada HR operations. Verbal, written and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization Detail-oriented, technical, and analytical; you serve as the final quality assurance for people processes and reporting Operate with urgency in a fast-paced growing environment; you must have worked in Operations where the company experienced triple percentage growth YoY Possess strong critical thinking, project management, and creative problem-solving skills Obsessed with continuous process, systems, and operations efficiency and improvement Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with competing deadlines and rapidly evolving needs As a hybrid, office-centric company, we are looking for candidates in San Mateo, California. Candidates outside the location are encouraged to apply though must be willing to relocate if hired. The following represents the expected compensation for this role: The estimated pay for this role is approximately $140,000-$150,000. The posted pay represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change. The total compensation package may include stock options. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.
