Job SummaryThe Senior Axway Secure Transport Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions using Axway Secure Transport and related components. This role ensures secure, reliable, and compliant file transfers across enterprise systems and external partners. The position requires strong technical expertise in Axway MFT platforms, Linux/Unix administration, encryption standards, automation, and system integration practices.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain Axway Secure Transport, Gateway, and related MFT components in production and non-production environments.Manage user provisioning, access control, certificates, keys, and security configurations to ensure data protection and compliance.Monitor file transfer operations, system performance, and logs to ensure high availability and reliability.Troubleshoot and resolve transfer failures, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.Implement automation scripts for routine tasks, onboarding, and reporting using Linux shell scripting or Python.Support patching, upgrades, migrations, and configuration enhancements in line with enterprise standards.Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to integrate MFT solutions with enterprise applications and workflows.Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements such as SOX, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.Participate in on-call rotation and provide production support for critical file transfer issues.Required QualificationsMinimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Axway Secure Transport or equivalent MFT platforms (IBM Sterling, MOVEit, GoAnywhere, etc.).Strong understanding of file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2) and security standards (SSL/TLS, PGP encryption, SSH).Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration and shell scripting (Bash/Korn).Experience with clustering, load balancing, and high availability configurations.Familiarity with monitoring tools (Axway Sentinel, Nagios, Splunk, or Grafana).Knowledge of networking concepts such as firewalls, proxies, and DNS.Understanding of identity management and integration with LDAP/Active Directory.Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.Strong communication and collaboration abilities in cross-functional teams.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Axway Central Governance, API Gateway, or B2Bi components.Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure automation (Ansible, Jenkins).Exposure to cloud-based MFT solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP).CertificationsAxway or related vendor certifications (preferred but not mandatory).
