Accounts Payable SpecialistLocation: Peoria OfficeReports To: ControllerStatus: Full-TimeAre you a detail-oriented finance professional who takes pride in accuracy and building great relationships? We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team In this role, you’ll own the invoice-to-payment process, ensuring our vendors and contractors are paid accurately and on time while supporting our month-end goals.What You’ll DoFull-Cycle AP: Manage the entry, coding, and approval of invoices, ensuring they match expense reports and company policies.Timely Payments: Process payments efficiently to maintain excellent vendor relationships and avoid late fees.Relationship Management: Act as the friendly point of contact for vendors and independent contractors (ICs) to resolve billing discrepancies or documentation needs.Financial Accuracy: Reconcile AP aging reports, maintain updated W-9 and banking records, and support month-end/year-end closing activities.Compliance & Audit: Maintain organized files for audits and follow internal controls to ensure financial integrity and tax compliance.Team Collaboration: Work closely with our Project Management, Marketing, and Finance teams to keep operations running smoothly.What You BringExperience: 5+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience.Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required.Accounting Knowledge: A solid grasp of basic accounting principles, including debits and credits.The Right Mindset: You are self-motivated, organized, and a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a professional office environment.Bonus Points: APS, APC, or Bookkeeping certifications.Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 Per Year
