U/G Piping FE

Job Summary:The U/G Piping Field Engineer reports to the Area Field Engineer and is responsible for the technical oversight of all Piping activities in his area of responsibility. The selected applicant shall provide technical direction to the direct hire and subcontractor work force as well as supervision.#LI-NP1Major Responsibilities: Must have experience with construction in all areas of piping installation. Coordinate with supervision the work schedule and any material deliveries required Complete training requirements assigned. Preparation of pipe installation work packages Inspection of field installations and completion of associated documentation. Responsible for quantity take-off, control, reporting and forecasting for all piping quantities. Prepare field change documentation and as-built documentation as required. Reviews specifications, inspection reports, delivery schedules, instruction manuals, and technical data. Assist with preparation of construction estimates. Recommend design or installation improvements to improve safety on the project. Education and Experience Requirements: University/BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with 8-10 years field piping engineering experience is desired, or 12-14 years of relevant experience,. Required Knowledge and Skills: Experience with Bechtel direct hire craft preferred, Contract management experience, Understanding of applicable Bechtel work processes including Standard Work Process Procedures is preferred, Familiarity with Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs) including ACONEX, TEAMWorks, Bechtel Productivity System, PTR, eSub and other automation tools which are used on Bechtel projects is an asset. Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards. Excellent communication and problem-solving ability Knowledge of multiple technical engineering disciplines relating to the construction of industrial projects. Knowledge of current industry design standards.
