Job Summary:

  • As the Director of Infection Prevention , you'll lead the management of the infection control program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the infection control program, ensuring compliance with CDC guidelines, accreditation standards, and hospital policies .
  • Conduct ongoing surveillance of infectious diseases and implement strategies to prevent and contain outbreaks.
  • Provide orientation and ongoing education to staff on infection control principles.
  • Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to ensure adequate resources and structure for an effective infection control program.
  • Analyze data and trends to drive improvements in infection prevention practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, consulting with physicians, staff, and external stakeholders (e.g., CDC, local health departments).

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field required; Master's Degree preferred .
  • Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) required (must be eligible and obtain certification within 18 months of hire).
  • Minimum 5+ years of recent acute care infection prevention leadership experience .
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, data analysis, and outbreak management.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
