SummaryThe Armed Security Guard personnel will be responsible for providing security services at a Government location. ResponsibilitiesWearing a uniform and possessing an assigned weapon, will participate in Guard Mount, receive assigned post, and copy any extra instructions.Will carry out general and special orders for post assigned; conduct roving patrols prevent installation breaches and other OPSEC or security-related tasks. Will communicate via radio, telephone and orally according to orders.Required to interact and escort as required with public and government personnel.Will provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions.Will be responsible for the cleanliness of uniform and equipment assigned.Will follow applicable standard operating procedures and government regulations pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property and equipment.Will conduct personnel, vehicle, building, & facility checks/inspection.Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays.Other duties as assigned QualificationsMust be a Citizen of the style="font-size: font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;">Minimum High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution recognized by the Department of Education.Pass comprehensive background investigationMust have an Active Secret clearance.Speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent verbal and written reports in English.Have an approved Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration.Shall not be in violation of the Lautenberg Amendment at 18 922Must be at least 21 years of age.Possess a Valid driver’s license Minimum of two years’ experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.Pass Drug Test and Medical evaluation examSuccessfully be able to meet PAT physical agility standards mile run under 17:30 and 19 push-ups under 2 min.)Must successfully complete and pass the MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory)Must be able to complete the company-provided 160-hour NSGTC course and qualify with both pistol and rifle.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
