Job Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager for a steadily growing transportation and parts dealer located here in Tampa. Headquarted here in Tampa with 5 other offices, this company is an authorized parts, sales and service dealer for a Fortune 500 company. Compensation: $90,000-$120,000 depending on experience. This is an ON SITE, direct hire position. Office Hours are Monday-Friday, 8-5pm. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of month-end financial statements by day ten (10) including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement in accordance with GAAP Assist in the preparation of journal entries for various income statement, balance sheet and expense accounts Facilitate monthly reconciliation of general ledger and bank accounts Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements Assist with monthly sales tax reporting Serve as a liaison to external auditors and coordinate annual audit activities Audit and approve expense reports Assist in annual parts inventory reconciliation process and other inventory activities Provides financial analyses as needed for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations Lead special projects across the company that reduce cost / increase productivity Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable deliverables Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, or statistics; CPA is a plus Must have 3 plus years of accounting or corporate finance experience Strong analytical skills with strong understanding of general ledger and GAAP Excellent problem-solving skills and good use of logic Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities Excellent communication and people skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Professional appearance and strong work ethic All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
