We invite you to forge ahead with us.What You Will Do: As a Project Engineer, you will play the lead role in the design and coordination of roadway, drainage, and utility projects for our public and private clients.You will collaborate with other groups/ disciplines within the company to deliver top quality projects and unparalleled service to our clients.Specific tasks that you will perform include design calculations, quantity and cost estimates, and plan preparation.You will compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos and specifications for projects.You will also help with proposals, project budgets and schedules, planning activities, and public involvement and other presentation opportunities.You will oversee the work of EITs or Technicians.You may also function as a Deputy Project Manager working with our Senior Project Managers to plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure that projects are delivered within prescribed time frames and budgets. The coordination activities include regular communication with the client, project schedule and budget oversight and subconsultant coordination. This provides an excellent career path to Project Management.What You Will Bring: The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar degree from an accredited school and a minimum of 10 years of experience in Transportation engineering or related field. TxDOT project experience preferred.You will have the ability to prepare, read and understand construction plans and technical documents and have a functional understanding of design software packages, preferably Microstation.Candidates must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.Our preferred candidate will have their TX PE license or the ability to obtain their license within six months.Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic will allow you to excel in this positionWho We Are: WSB is a design and consulting firm specializing in Transportation, Community Planning, Environmental, Energy, Municipal, and Construction services.
