This team position is a great opportunity to join an established, high-growth company and to further your career in professional, corporate accounting.Position: Senior Accountant Under the supervision of the Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for providing accounting expertise in various areas of the accounting department. The role is Monday through Friday in the office from 8 to 5. The role will participate in cross-department collaboration focusing heavily on Sales and Operations.Job Responsibilities:Manage the Accounts Receivable collections processPrepare all documentation to file sales and use tax returnsManage the entire fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisition, recording, tracking, and disposal in fixed asset software and general ledger.Assist in inventory reconciliations including, but not limited to, physical inventory countsAssist Controller with financial analysis including, but not limited to, balance sheet reconciliations, month end closeout, process journal entriesMaintain existing accounting controlsEnsure strict compliance to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the recording of financial transactionsComply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation and advising management on needed actionsAdditional duties as assigned by the ControllerQualifications and Education:Must have an Accounting degree from an accredited four-year college or universityA minimum of 3 - 5 years of related work experienceCPA or CPA candidate desiredSQL or Access skills a plusAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredDetail oriented and comfortable analyzing large volumes of dataExcellent communication skills, both orally and in writingDemonstrated research and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of GAAPERP Software experiencePhysical and Work Environment:· Primarily office-based, with occasional visits to industrial/commercial sites but usually not exposed to adverse environmental conditions. · Light physical activity including pushing, pulling, or lifting to 10lbs. · Extended time at a computer workstation. · This position is an on-site role - not remote or Hybrid.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.Perks and Benefits:Medical Dental, and Vision InsurancePrescription CoverageFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Company-paid Basic Life and Short-Term Disability (No cost to you)Long-Term DisabilityVoluntary Life Insurance for you and your family401(k) with Company MatchPaid Vacation and HolidaysEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Gainshare Bonus ProgramAt C&B Piping, LLC., we know our success begins with our people.
