Head Coach Basketball Boys

(2-3 sentences describing job purpose):  Support and align athletic work among middle and charter school teams/students using district sports facilities in accordance with district policies. Reports to: Executive Principal : List, in the order of importance or time spent, the essential duties/tasks performed by the position.This is not an exhaustive list and employees may be assigned additional duties by management as required. Job Duty/Resp. 1: Assists with supervision of staff, including selecting or recommending selection, training, assigning and evaluating work, counseling, disciplining, and terminating or recommending termination.Implements policies approved by the Board of Education; enforces policies and procedures for student discipline, and protects students’ rights Job Duty/Resp. 2: Supports the visions and goals of the Athletic Director as well as organizes, plans and controls special projects as directed by the Athletic Director. Also maintains continuity in the Athletic department in the absence of the Athletic Director. Performs other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director in a willing, cooperative, courteous and professional manner. Job Duty/Resp. 3: Promotes good school and community relationships and also develops partnerships with the athletic departments of local colleges/universities to promote growth within Metro Schools Job Duty/Resp. 4: Works with the Athletic Director to keep an accurate budget as well as assists in the development of athletic booster clubs, club by laws, and membership Job Duty/Resp. 5: Works with the Athletic Director and coaches to organize routine information and stories of interest on various programs for public recognition of athletic achievements. Job Duty/Resp. 6: Attends sporting events at middle and high schools on a regular basis and also organizes middle and high school professional development opportunities for all sports. Job Duty/Resp. 7: Maintains records of team and individual athletic accomplishments for historical purposes.
