The Residential Program Coordinator works with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and psychiatric needs in community residential settings. Residential Program Coordinator partners with the manager to ensure the program’s administrative tasks are completed, as well as provides direct care to support residents' health and safety, community integration, and independence.   HIGHLIGHTS $23/hr salary Full-time, in-person shifts at our Brighton location Paid Time Off: including up to 30 days PTO, (36 days after year 1) Mileage reimbursement Full Time, 30+ hour hires: Immediate eligibility for medical insurance, dental, vision, retirement plan; no waiting period Responsibilities of the Residential Program Coordinator Teach and support independent living skills including: personal care/hygiene, nutrition and food preparation, communication, social events and community celebrations, facilitating friendships, and more Promote health including taking clients’ to medical appointments, monitoring symptoms, administering medication, and following medical protocols Learn and apply redirection, conflict resolution, and verbal de-escalation methods, when needed Assist the manager to coordinate client care including medical/medication management, skill development, and social/recreational activities Complete assigned paperwork to meet DDS regulations regarding service planning, as well as medical and financial management Requirements of the Residential Program Coordinator Experience working with individuals with disabilities, in a residential setting, preferred Positive attitude and enthusiastic about working with adults with disabilities  A collaborative colleague eager to join a supportive and engaged team Strong interpersonal skills, an empathetic listener, and comfortable around clients with different needs and ability levels Flexible and adaptive to clients' day-to-day needs, using good judgment skills A clear verbal and written communicator and able to write daily notes At least a high school diploma or equivalent Ability to pass CPR, Basic First Aid, and Medication Administration Program certification requirements Ability to pass a national background check A valid driver's license Applicants who do not meet the qualifications as stated above are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience have prepared them with the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required for the responsibilities of this position.   ABOUT JF&CS For more than 150 years, Jewish Family & Children's Service has been helping individuals and families build a strong foundation for resilience and well-being.
