We are backed by Offline.VC, Charge.VC, VSC, Continuum Ventures, as well as many prominent angels in Silicon Valley.Role:We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and organized exercise specialist who is passionate about treating obesity as a disease to improve the myriad chronic health conditions associated with weight- including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea and more- to join our team. In this role, you will see patients via telehealth and work with a multidisciplinary team including medical providers, and nutrition specialists to provide best-in-class care and outcomes for your patients - communicating with them both synchronously and asynchronously.Exercise Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:Evaluate client fitness level and skill set to plan reachable goalsEducate and demonstrate to clients exercise and injury preventionCreate a training plan tailored to client needsChart and track client progressMotivate and encourage client through positive words via app with high level of engagementAdjust client personalized plans as goals are reachedEducate clients on evidence based exercise programming.Adaptable to a wide range of clients of all ages based on their fitness capabilitiesWillingness to work cooperatively with the Dietetics department on patient fitness plansExercise Specialist Requirements and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in exercise science, exercise physiology, or kinesiology2-3 years of hands-on experience in one-on-one coaching, preferably in a clinical or healthcare setting.Clinical experience in a related field is highly desirable.ACSM certification is mandatory, or required within 6 months of hire.Fluency in both Spanish and English languagesStrong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with Arabic-speaking patients.Knowledge of the latest trends and developments in exercise physiology and fitness training.Ability to work independently and manage remote coaching sessions effectively.Empathy, patience, and a passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.Must reside in the US or legally allowed to work in the United States (NPI required)Bilingual Spanish fluency is a mustJob Types: Part time to start (10-16 hrs/wk)This position offers a competitive salary of approximately $30-40 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. It is a remote contractor role requiring 10-15 hours per week with opportunities to transition into part-time/full-time positions based on performance and business needs.
