Role We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and organized Nutrition Specialist who is passionate about treating obesity as a disease to improve the myriad chronic health conditions associated with weight—including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea and more—to join our team. In this role, you will see patients via tele-health and work with a multidisciplinary team including Registered Dietitians and medical providers to provide best-in-class care and outcomes for your patients—communicating with them both synchronously and asynchronously. Minimum Qualifications We are looking for those with: a 4 year Nutrition and Dietetics degree, with at least 1 year experience coaching lifestyle and habit changes using nutrition and exercise. The Nutrition Specialist will work closely under a lead RD to provide evidence-based obesity science and nutrition advice. Must reside in the US or legally allowed to work in the United States (NPI required) Other Qualifications (Dietitians) Bachelor's degree in Food &/or Nutritional Science. Minimum 12 months of experience in clinical nutrition as a Registered Dietitian, working with patients with Diabetes or other metabolic diseases a plus. Current registration w/ the Commission on Dietetic Registry (CDR) in good standing. Knowledge of clinical competencies based on Nutrition Care Standards of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). For either type of applicant Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Strong proficiency and experience with medical technology including EMR and mobile apps. Collaboration & problem solving skills required. Ability to manage a large patient load and multiple touchpoints, both in face-to-face and app communication. Strong ability to empathize and connect with patients on a regular long term basis. Experience and comfortability working with our proprietary tech app. Bilingual (Arabic) medical fluency is a MUST as this role starts with a primarily Arabic speaking population. Bonus Qualifications Previous experience in curriculum development. Demonstrated knowledge of behavior change. Previous individual, small group and large group/classroom training/teaching experience.
