We are looking to expand our team with passionate individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of those seeking psychological support.Position Overview:We are seeking an efficient Billing Specialist with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable (A/R) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with various payers (especially BCBS), including submitting and correcting claims, handling denials, posting payments, and following up on outstanding A/R.This is a key role within our billing team, requiring meticulous attention to detail, a deep understanding of the insurance billing process, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and claim resolution.Must reside in one of the following states: AZ, CT, FL, IL, IN, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, or WA.Key Responsibilities:Submit, resubmit, and correct insurance claims (primary focus on BCBS and other major commercial payers)Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, analyze denial reasons, and take corrective actionsPost insurance payments and patient payments, reconcile accounts, and allocate credits appropriatelyCollaborate with clinicians to ensure accurate documentation and verify medical necessity or authorization when requiredReview and verify insurance benefits; communicate client coverage limits and out-of-pocket responsibilities clearly and empatheticallyAssist clients with billing questions, superbills, refunds, and updating payment methodsMaintain accurate and detailed records of all billing activity, adjustments, and correspondenceAssist with process improvements and policy implementation in collaboration with the Billing DepartmentEnsure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards at all timesQualifications:Associates Degree2+ years of medical billing and A/R experience required, preferably in a mental health or behavioral health settingProficiency with insurance claims handling, including corrected claims and denial managementStrong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 codes, and insurance billing guidelinesExcellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skillsStrong communication skills (verbal and written) and a high level of professionalismCustomer service-oriented, with the ability to interact with empathy and clarity with clientsAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced remote environmentPrior experience with EMR/EHR systemsBenefits:401k Safe Harbor planDental InsuranceHealth InsuranceUnlimited vacation policyWork-from-homeYearly employee engagement trips to NYC$50,000 - $60,000 a yearCompensation details: 50000-60000 Yearly SalaryPIaf77489a1096-30511-37958004
