Our distinguished professional, technical, and administrative support teams are known for their quality care, communication, and compassion throughout the treatment process. The AEC veterinary team, featuring our board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist, is highly skilled and maintains an admired reputation for medical excellence.Compensation:$23-$26 hourly, based on experienceSchedule:Full TimeMonday: 8:30am-6pmTuesday/ Thursday: 7am-5pmFriday: 7:30am-5pmAbout the Role:Our Veterinary Technicians are vital members of our veterinary team, applying their expertise with a high degree of autonomy. They skillfully calculate and administer induction medications, monitor anesthesia for patient safety, and provide attentive postoperative care. Additionally, they ensure the highest standards of surgical hygiene by cleaning, sterilizing, and organizing instruments. Through collaboration with veterinarians and ongoing training, they continually expand their skills in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.Essential Functions:Administers medication and manages/monitors patients during surgical procedures—including pre and post op care and anesthesia recovery.Facilitates patient care of outpatient appointments for surgeons—consults and rechecks.Performs IV, IM and SubQ injections, IV catheter placements and advanced veterinary technician skills (arterial catheter placement, epidural administration, splint placements).Performs radiographs and other advanced imagingAssists with all types of surgery, anesthesia, and other procedures as needed.Participate in surgery team responsibilities that facilitate efficient patient care: setting up and turning over Operating Rooms, preparing exam rooms and instruments, completing daily safety and cleaning duties.Communicates with clients, including financial estimates and collecting payment.Interfaces with and assists other departments within the hospital as needed.Other duties as needed.About You:You are a Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT,LVT,RVT) or Experienced Veterinary Technician with at least two years of experience, dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care.You are dedicated to maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people that share that same value.Take the initiative – you are a * hard worker who contributes to the operation of the entire hospital*, you will help get all the day’s duties doneYou are versatile – you know how to effectively adapt to the individual needs of each patient and are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.You possess clinical skills and experience that include (but are not limited to):Safe patient restraintExcellent client service Phlebotomy and catheter placementKnowledge of radiology safety and proper techniqueProficient in post-op monitoring and care of surgical patientsSolid foundation of knowledge of common veterinary medicationsIndividualized, patient-focused nursingFluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plusWhat to Expect:Friendly/Inclusive Culture: Our team acknowledges that great results are only achieved through the teamwork that comes with mutual respect and kindness amongst our team and with our clients.Leadership support: We truly value each team member as an individual. The experiences and knowledge you bring are immeasurable.
