This is an on-site, full-time position located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center for Advanced Aerospace in Egg Harbor Township NJ. The System Engineer with mid-senior level expertise in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and system integration to support federal and enterprise-scale modernization initiatives. This role focuses on designing, deploying, and managing secure, automated infrastructure supporting software development and testing environments across multiple FAA programs and cloud platforms.The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in infrastructure-as-code, containerization, CI/CD automation, and multi-cloud management, combined with a solid background in software engineering and federal systems compliance.Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain DevOps infrastructure and pipelines supporting software development, testing, and deployment in hybrid cloud environments.Architect and manage containerized platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift to optimize scalability, performance, and security.Develop and automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and related Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) toolsAdminister cloud platforms (AWS, Red Hat OpenShift) including EC2, S3, IAM, and VDI environments supporting 100+ users.Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and other tools to streamline software delivery and reduce deployment times.Integrate and maintain SSO and access management systems (Keycloak, Zscaler Private Access) to ensure secure, unified authentication across platforms.Serve as a technical liaison between engineering teams, federal stakeholders, and leadership-translating technical requirements into actionable solutions.Support legacy-to-cloud migration efforts, ensuring compliance with FAA and federal cybersecurity standards.Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.Contribute to Agile/Scrum development cycles, supporting backlog grooming, sprint planning, and cross-functional collaboration.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience and 8+ yearsOR Master's degree in, Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience and 5+ year8+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure management.Proven experience with:Infrastructure as Code (IaC)ContainerizationCloud PlatformsCI/CD ToolsProgramming LanguagesSecurity & Access ManagementProficiency with engineering design tools.Familiarity with configuration management tools.Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, and CI/CD methodologiesExcellent communication skills, with experience interfacing with federal clients or enterprise stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity and prior work with FAA programsExperience with configuration management tools, geospatial layouts, or data adaptation platforms.Knowledge of design assurance principles in safety-critical or regulated industries (aviation, aerospace preferred)AI DISCLOSURE / CONSENTThe Company values authenticity and fairness in the hiring process. Cubicle setting.Travel about 20%Compensation (Pay Bands)Salary at P17 Solutions, LLC is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40 hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represent the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of P17 Solutions, LLC total compensation package for employees.
