Our client, an expanding organization headquartered in Antioch, TN, is actively seeking a skilled Controller to join their team. This pivotal role involves overseeing financial operations to support the company's growth trajectory. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with a strong distribution background and a proficient understanding of NetSuite ERP. Company Overview: Our client is a dynamic distribution company that partners with retail, wholesale, and foodservice entities across multiple states. As the company continues to expand its revenue stream, we are searching for a proactive Controller to streamline financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and drive further advancement. Key Responsibilities: Supervise all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Commissions Manage bank reconciliations, daily cash management, and cash flow forecasting Ensure precise reporting of inventory and COGS, incorporating landed cost and freight allocations Lead month-end and year-end closing processes to produce timely and accurate financial statements Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to inform strategic decisions Enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures Collaborate with external stakeholders such as CPAs, tax advisors, and lenders to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy Produce management reports on profitability, margins, and key performance indicators Manage financial processes within NetSuite ERP to ensure efficiency and data integrity Support tax filings, insurance renewals, and compliance requirements Identify and implement process enhancements and automation opportunities Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance CPA or CMA certification preferred Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in distribution or related industries Proficiency in NetSuite ERP Demonstrated expertise in cash flow management, financial reporting, and multi-entity month-end closing Thorough understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and margin analysis Detail-oriented, organized, and hands-on with a strong sense of ownership Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that values collaboration and accountability Features and Benefits: Opportunity to join a growing organization with revenue scaling from $25M to $50M+ Potential career progression to a CFO-level position as the company expands Chance to build and lead a finance team, influencing critical hiring and process improvement decisions Direct reporting to the CEO and instrumental role in shaping the company's financial structure Exposure to advanced systems and automation opportunities through NetSuite ERP Collaborative and family-oriented environment with a focus on initiative, accountability, and integrity controller, CPA, Accounting, Finance, NetSuitedfwHR is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
