Provides feedback and recognition when appropriate.Knowledge / Skills / AbilitiesAbility to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees, and processes, in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates, to ensure the smooth operation of the department.Demonstrated knowledge of assigned department's area of specialization in order to analyze, plan, and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors.Demonstrated knowledge and application of medical nutrition therapy, including the nutrition care process.Demonstrated competence with nutrient analysis, word processing, and spreadsheet software.Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal and electronic formats with patients, staff, physicians, nurses, and administrators.Ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the work of others.Ability to organize tasks and work independently.Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience.Proven ability to meet and maintain budgeting goals. Qualifications QualificationsRequiredBachelor's Degree in Clinical Nutrition, Foodservice Management, or related area, or the equivalency.Completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association.Four years of experience as a clinical dietician.Two years of supervisory experience.Licenses RequiredRegistered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.Current License to practice as a Certified Dietitian in the State of Utah. Qualifications (Preferred) PreferredMaster's Degree in Clinical Nutrition, Foodservice Management, or a related area.EPIC Experience.CBORD Experience.Working Conditions and Physical DemandsEmployee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.This position involves light work that may exert up to 20 pounds and may require light work involving lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects.
