The role will also direct the development and negotiation of complex agreements.HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARYLead the development, implementation, and alignment of sourcing strategies for key commodities and spend categories within the hotel and casino industry. Candidates require substantial recent, proven experience in a procurement function involved in high risk, high value, services and supplies covering a range of commodities.Identify, develop, and manage strategic business relationships and gain a comprehensive understanding of commodities business requirementsInterface and advise with senior executives to align business priorities and manage issuesMaintain and provide a current understanding of industry best practices and commodity trends to Team Members and business partners Measure and manage the overall performance of the sourced supplier network within the commodities industry.Identify metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities, and efficiencies, and work collaboratively with Team Members to prioritize and drive implementationCollaborate with Stakeholders to establish short-term and long-term business objectivesDevelop project plans, deliverables, metrics and milestonesImplement process disciplines and management systems necessary to achieve desired resultsEvaluate supplier capabilities and establish sources for new suppliers and markets as business requirements dictateDirect the development and negotiation of complex agreements with suppliers encompassing key program specifications and functional objectivesManage governance and control programs to ensure business continuity, protect company assets, and comply with corporate and regulatory policiesEnsure organizational financial goals are met, including budget and savingsDevelop both internal and external partnerships critical to meeting objectivesReport annual cost savings programs and implement business strategies that directly affect company financial results and growth plansAdvise on supplier network capabilities and commodity/spend category trends and industry best practicesEffectively manage several projectsCan be based out of Las Vegas, NV or remote (within eligible, company approved jurisdictions).WHAT YOU WILL NEEDMinimum of 3–5 years of progressive business and sourcing experience in Contract Labor and other Professional Services categories. Bachelor’s or similar degree in hotel management, business, operations management or related science field required, MBA preferred.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS3+ years in progressively challenging roles in sourcing/negotiations/supplier management. 3+ years relevant experience with Contract Labor, and other Professional Services categories.Strong subject matter expertise Contract Labor. Experienced in negotiating simple and complex commodity programs with a detailed understanding of operations, finance, and the evaluation of terms, pricing minimum order requirements, and service level standardsAbility to manage large complex projects including managing to a project timeline, ensuring quality deliverables, effective communication and project risk managementSubject matter expertise in strategic sourcing methodologies and working knowledge of the procurement functionStrong effective negotiation skillsStrong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills. Ability to communicate across all level of the organizationStrong computer, e-auction and systems literacyCustomer (internal/external) CentricLeader of change WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment is fast-paced and collaborative, operating within a corporate sourcing organization. This role requires frequent interaction with senior leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and external suppliers while managing multiple priorities and complex initiatives.
