To enhance our team in the US we are looking for a: Head of Finance (US) 07102 Newark Vollzeit Start: as of now As Head of Finance, USA, you will be the founding finance leader responsible for continued establishment of the US entity and leading all financial operations for AOP Health’s US. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial finance leader with deep experience in US entity setup, healthcare finance, and strategic financial management in dynamic, growth-oriented environments. What Your Day To Day Will Look Like Legal Entity Setup & Financial Infrastructure Continue leading the establishment of AOP Health’s US legal entity, including registration, tax setup, and regulatory compliance. Define and implement accounting systems, internal controls, financial and expense policies aligned with global standards. Collaborate with legal, HR, and operations to ensure seamless integration of financial processes. Select and manage external partners (accountants, auditors, tax advisors, payroll providers, travel, procurement etc.). Financial Accounting & Control Manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reporting under Austrian GAAP (to HQ) and US GAAP. Oversee audit and tax compliance requirements for the entity. Assess and update current controls to ensure alignment with AOP global standards. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Build financial models and budgets to support business planning and decision-making. Partner with commercial and operational teams to provide financial insights and scenario analyses. Track key performance indicators and provide strategic recommendations to leadership. Develop an integrated planning cycle with clear, repeatable processes for U.S. stakeholders, including assumptions that can be updated as needed. Treasury & Cash Management Establish and manage banking relationships and cash flow forecasting. Optimize working capital and ensure liquidity for operations. Develop a plan for future cash-management requirements, accounting for seasonal fluctuations. Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management Work closely with the global finance team and US leadership to align financial goals with business strategy. Engage with key external stakeholders including payers, healthcare providers, distributors, and government agencies. This would include our 3rd Party Logistics, Wholesalers, GPO’s and Gross to Net Management Software. Support commercial discussions with financial data and risk assessments. Your Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. CPA or equivalent qualification preferred. 10+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity. Proven track record in setting up and managing a US legal entity (mandatory). Strong experience across accounting, FP&A, treasury, and compliance. Previous experience in healthcare, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries required. Deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement models, payer systems, and pricing structures. Hands-on, pragmatic approach suitable for a startup-like environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally across global teams.
