Bring your energy and creativity to Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation The City of Fort Wayne is seeking a Program Coordinator to support our Community Youth Centers. This role plans and leads year-round recreation, arts, sports, and educational programs for youth and adults, and assists with youth food service initiatives such as Kid's Café and the Summer Lunch Program.Location: Community Youth CentersHours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Including daytime, afternoon and evening hours. Some weekend and holidays.Approximate hours are Summer 9am-5pm (June/July)After School program 11am-7pm (Aug - May), these may vary depending on programs and activitiesKey Responsibilities:Plan, organize, and lead daily programs and special activities.Support grant-funded and community partnership programs.Assist with hiring, training, and supervision of part-time staff and volunteers.Provide program information for marketing, track attendance, and maintain reports.Collect and process program fees and ensure accurate financial records.Assist with facility setup/cleanup and serve as acting supervisor when needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.At least 2 years of experience working with youth in recreation, education, or similar environment.Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Valid Indiana Driver's License.CPR/First Aid and ServSafe certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain).Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform light physical activity related to programming and facility setup.Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of applicable drug screening, physical examination, and background checks.Job Posted by ApplicantPro
